Tuesday April 28th & Wednesday April 29, 2026, Monroe County Water District office will be closed due to mandatory trainings. Someone will be in the office to answer questions and for emergency purposes but we will be unable to take any payments on those days.
You still can make payments on our website www.mcwdky.com anytime and our night drop thru the drive thru window.
Normal office hours will resume on Thursday April 30th, 2026.

Tuesday, April 21, 2026 1:23 p.m.

The Kentucky Division of Water has LIFTED the boil water advisory which was issued on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 8:00 pm. for Monroe County Water District Customers with no water/low pressure. This started at 6583 County House Road to the Gumtree Road. This also included the following roads: County Farm Road, Bledsoe Road, Proffitt Lane, Ball Hill Road, Gene Emmert Road, Gene Turner Road, Freetown Emberton Road, V Comer Road, Galilee Road, Sugar Creek Road, Zikayla Lane, Emmanual Road, Jim Don Road, Maranatha Road, Barbara Lane and Zikila Road.

A boil water advisory has been issued by the Ky Division of Water on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 8:00 pm. for Monroe County Water District Customers with no water/low pressure. This will start at 6583 County House Road to the Gumtree Road. This will also include the following roads: County Farm Road, Bledsoe Road, Proffitt Lane, Ball Hill Road, Gene Emmert Road, Gene Turner Road, Freetown Emberton Road, V Comer Road, Galilee Road, Sugar Creek Road, Kikayla Lane, Emmanual Road, Jim Don Road, Maranatha Road, Barbara Lane and Zikila Road.
This will affect approximately 133 customers due to a main line leak.

Customers should bring all water to a rolling boil for at least three minutes. The boil water advisory will continue until after sample results are received.

The Kentucky Division of Water has lifted the boil water advisory which was issued March 30, 2026 for approximately 673 Monroe County Water District customers with no water. This included customers on and along the following roads:

Starting at 801 E Main Street in Gamaliel, Bugtussle Road, Alexander School Road, Fountain Run Road, Flippin Lamb Road, White Oak Ridge, Red Boiling Springs Road.

The boil water advisory has been lifted as of 1:40 p.m. April 01, 2026.

A boil water advisory has been issued by the Ky Division of Water on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 3:53 am. for Monroe County Water District Customers with no water. This will include customers on and along the following roads:

Starting at 801 E Main Street in Gamaliel, Bugtussle Road, Alexander School Road, Fountain Run Road, Flippin Lamb Road, White Oak Ridge, Red Boiling Springs Road.

This will affect approximately 673 customers due to a main line leak.

**BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED**

Friday, March 20, 2026, 1:15 p.m.

The Kentucky Division of Water has LIFTED the boil water advisory which was issued March 18, 2026 for approximately 120 Monroe County Water District customers, which started at
5150 Edmonton Road (Old HWY163 Loop) to corner of HWY 163 and Simpson Road. This included Sammie Carter Road off of Edmonton Road to 720 Sammie Carter Road. Also, Dragstrip Road at the intersection of Bushong Road to 657 Dragstrip Road and all of Cornwell Road, Bushong Road, Mt. Gilead Road, Ellas Way, Old Edmonton Road, P Carter Road, Rex Bartley Road, Orchard Lane and Ben Hall Circle.

The boil water advisory has been LIFTED as of 1:15 p.m. March 20, 2026.
