Dear Families,
Congratulations to all of our students for completing NJSLA testing! We are proud of the hard work, focus, and perseverance they showed throughout the testing process. Makeup testing is still taking place and should be completed within the week.
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we have many exciting activities, celebrations, and events planned for our students. With these fun opportunities approaching, we are asking for your support in helping students continue to make positive choices each day so everyone can safely and successfully participate.
In case you didn’t catch it in my last newsletter, the district will be holding a virtual day on June 2nd due to voting taking place in our schools. Teachers will communicate directly with families regarding expectations and assignments for the day.
We would also like to remind families about our school dress code expectations. Recently, we have noticed an increase in clothing that is not school appropriate. Please ensure that shirts have wider straps, midriffs/stomachs are covered, and clothing is not revealing. Your support in reinforcing these expectations at home is greatly appreciated.
Additionally, we are asking that toys, fidgets, trading cards, and other personal items remain at home unless there has been direct communication with your child’s teacher approving the item for school use. These items have become increasingly distracting during instructional time and have led to unnecessary conflicts between students.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support throughout the school year. Together, we can help make these final weeks positive, fun, and successful for all students. Have a wonderful weekend!
-Mrs. Kasper
