With the current Red Flag Warning and lightning in the forecast, I wanted to share with you how our local, state, and federal fire agencies are working together.
Response Plan:
Within 3 miles of the Sinlahekin Fire footprint, CAL Fire will provide an immediate attack on any new starts. Crews are out and on standby.
Outside the 3-mile radius:
Coordinating jurisdictions will request aid as needed, and partner agencies will deploy available resources.
Approximately 1,700 personnel are continuing to work out of Chief Tonasket Park.
CAL Fire, our Incident Management Team, recently managed response efforts on the Reevas Basin and Balky Hill area fires in coordination with local agencies.
Thank you to CAL FIRE, our local Fire Districts, DNR, and the Forest Service for their continued collaboration and efforts to protect our community!
Please stay vigilant and report any new smoke or fire activity immediately.
For continued updated information on fires and evacuation notices, please use Central Washington Fire Information page and https://perimetermap.com/
Stay safe, everyone! 🫶
