There will be no service on Labor Day, Monday, September 7th, 2026. Service will be delayed one day. Customers with collection service any day Monday through Friday will be picked up one day later that week, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday, September 12th. **REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED**

👷‍♂️🚱Temporary Water Service Disruption during Repairs - Vicinity of Shawnee Street and 5th Street🚱👷‍♂️

On August 13, 2026 there was a water main leak located near the intersection of 5th Street and Shawnee Street.

Residents in this area may experience an interruption in their water service.

Tonganoxie Public Works staff are working to repair the issue starting at approximately 1:15 PM on August 13 and anticipate that water service will be restored within 3 hours.

The areas expected to be temporarily without water service include the 100 & 200 block of 5th Street and the 500 block of Shawnee Street as depicted in the attached map.

The customers that are serviced by the City of Tonganoxie Water Department DO NOT have a boil order in place. City Staff does not have information about other water utilities.

The customers outside of City Limits that have service through LVCO RWD #6 are advised to contact their water utility provider directly for information and updates #913-416-0484 (RWD office number)

Water Park Online Purchases for Facility Rentals and Season Passes to go live on Monday, March 9, 2026

Online Purchases for Facility Rentals and Season Passes for the 2026 season at the Tonganoxie Water Park will become available starting on Monday, March 9, 2026. The expected go live time to allowing facility rental reservations and purchasing Season Passes is at Noon on Monday, March 9. Before that time no online purchases for the Water Park facility will be available.
