Carpenter bees and other naive bees get pushed out of the area when European Honey Bees are present. My last name is Carpenter so they are family.

The Achemon sphinx is a large, nocturnal moth (family Sphingidae) with a 3-4 inch wingspan, known for its pinkish-brown forewings and pink hindwings. Its caterpillar, also called a hornworm, feeds on grapevines and Virginia creeper, and is characterized by oblique white bars on its sides and a horn on its abdomen that is lost in the final larval stage. The adult moth is a strong, fast-flying pollinator that feeds on nectar.
