We are incredibly proud to announce our 2026–2027 Kansas Teacher of the Year (KTOY) nominees from Tonganoxie USD 464!

The Kansas Teacher of the Year program, sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education, recognizes and celebrates outstanding educators who exemplify excellence in elementary and secondary classrooms across Kansas.

Our nominees have the opportunity to represent Tonganoxie USD 464 and, ultimately, Kansas on a statewide stage. KTOY state finalists serve as ambassadors for education across Kansas and are nominated to represent Kansas in the National Teacher of the Year program!

Since 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has been helping children discover the joy of books and build a lifelong love of reading. What began as Dolly Parton’s dream has grown into the world’s leading early childhood book-gifting program, providing more than 200 million free books to children across the world.

The Imagination Library partners with local communities to make sure books reach children right at home. Enrolled children, birth through five years of age, receive a carefully selected book at no cost to their family each month.

On Friday, Aug. 14, we're celebrating the thousands of Kansas children currently receiving books.
