NOTICE OF IMPOUNDED GOATS

The Tooele County Sheriff's Office is seeking the owner of two goats found on SR-138 on July 31, 2026.

If you are the owner or know who they belong to, please contact the Tooele County Sheriff's Office at 435-882-5600 and reference Case No. 26-S05619.

If the goats are not claimed, they are scheduled to be sold at public auction on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Anderson Livestock Auction.

We are often asked if impounded livestock can be adopted. Utah law requires unclaimed livestock to be sold at public auction.

Stookey Fire Road Closure Update – July 16, 2026

Following a meeting with fire personnel, the following road closures will remain in effect:

• Hatch Ranch Road between SR-199 and Pony Express Road
• Pony Express Road from Last Chance Road through Lookout Pass
• Sharp Road

Our hope is to have all roads reopened before Pioneer Day, if conditions allow.
