Zakiya is headed to FCCLA Nationals! Her dedication and talent are inspiring. Let’s show her our support!

A Tooele High School student is hoping to make a difference in her community and is preparing to travel to the nation's capital this summer for a national competition.

Zakiya Morrow is a sophomore and a member of the school's Family, Career and Community Leaders of America program and has a chance to compete at the national leadership conference in Washington, D.C., in July. Zakiya and her family have been doing everything they can to raise money for her to go.

Congratulations to Liberty Plaizier! She received the Good Citizen Award from the Utah Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and will represent Utah as a candidate for the National Award. She was recently honored at a luncheon where she read part of her essay, received the DAR Good Citizens Pin, and won a $600 scholarship.
