On December 14th, 2025. The 35th Infantry Division Band executed a mission to serve the community of Eudora.

The band paired with Eudora high school's Jazz, and Concert Ensembles to provide a very valuable experience in Music Education.

Missions like these provide students the opportunity to learn more about the opportunities the Army National Guard provides to soldiers in pursuit of their education or a new career field.

We extend our gratitude to Damian Johnson, the director of bands at Eudora, the Eudora community, for a great attendance, and the students of the band!

We are proud to do missions like these that place us directly in touch with our communities!

From OCPs to ASUs, the 35th Infantry Division Band proudly supported many activities of the 35th Infantry Division on September 6th 2025.

From the Change of Command ceremony in the morning to honor Major General John W. Rueger, his service to the division, and his relinquishing of the command to Major General Martin Clay.

We wish MG Rueger fair winds and following seas into his next chapter, and welcome MG Clay to his new command.

The 35th ID Band supported the Division's dining out that evening as well. It was great day to wear the uniform and support the soldiers that make the job possible!

Win the Day!

It’s !

This week we give the spotlight to SGT Derrick Hibler.

It's all smiles with SGT Hibler, and since he joined us 3 years ago, he has been nothing else other than supportive and driven in our unit. Having plenty of experience as a band director, he is a star example of great engagement with audience, and taking care of soldiers in their retainment window!

When asked about the guard, SGT Hibler says "The Kansas Army National Guard Band has been a wonderful blessing for my family and I. Thank you for supporting our unit!"

Say hello to SGT Hibler!

It’s !

We have the pleasure to introduce SGT Drew Leslie this week.

SGT Leslie brings a lot of civilian musical experience to us from brass bands to DCI.

He's a steadfast leader, and brings his A-game. In our missions he ensures that all music is orderly and correct before we perform. He's a vital member and we are grateful to have him on our team!

SGT Leslie says that "Being a part of the 35th ID Band has been a tremendous pleasure! I love being a part of something that serves as the face of the Kansas Army National Guard and enables me to spread the joy of music!"

Please welcome SGT Drew Leslie

It’s !

We're excited to bring SFC Kirstin Omoto to you this week.

SFC Omoto transferred to the KSARNG from Nebraska in 2019. She enlisted in the Nebraska Army National Guard in 2008. She brought a great set of skills from the civilian sector. She applies those skills to organize the many missions we execute across the state!

She's proud to share - "I’m the proud mom of two under the age of 2. If I’m not making music with the 35th ID Band, I’m singing songs and dancing with my kids and husband. Music is such a great way to connect and have fun with those you love!"

Please welcome SFC Omoto
