May is Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Did you know the Lois Curtis Center is disabled/Brown/Black/woman/LGBTQ/direct support professional led – including our Director, who is Hawaiian? The Lois Curtis Center is committed to prioritizing resources for Black and brown community members; we are working to create cultural spaces that nurture, educate, and support the ‘ike (knowledge, understanding) of our identities, especially as our existence and safety as Black and brown people are challenged.

We were so happy to work with Ms. Doyle's third grade classroom Ross Road Rockers again this year! We learned about the science of sound, we selected the background music for our song, we worked together to write and perform a song, and we helped our friend, producer and artist, Cali Pitts put together a video for our song.
