Meet Our Board: Tara Dimick

Well, you probably already know Tara from one of her several (hundred) leadership positions throughout Topeka! We are fortunate to have her on the Topeka Community Foundation board and the board of The Women's Fund - Topeka, KS. Tara brings her experience as a business development and marketing expert, helping to advance and celebrate our mission as a community foundation.

This is one grantee update we can all admire!

Head over to the Mulvane Art Museum Art Lab this summer to check out a beautiful 🦋 sculpture created by students from schools across our community. The students took full ownership of their work of art, from design to creation to presenting in front of their peers at student assemblies. We are inspired by their creativity, teamwork, and growth!

The project is part of Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Seas, which includes other sculptures displayed around Topeka. This opportunity was made possible by a community-wide partnership with Topeka Public Schools, Topeka Zoo, The Rotary Club of Topeka, Mulvane Art Museum, Washburn Ecobods, Full Circle Sustainability.

"What we can give them is hope that their life will be better, starting with housing."

Reden Jalosjos gave Foundation President Marsha Ryan Pope a preview of a brand new apartment building in North Topeka. He can't wait to fill these 24 studio apartments with residents who are ready to get back on their feet with affordable, safe, and stable housing.
