Secondhand and thirdhand smoke don’t just affect people—they can harm your pets, too. 🐾

Toxic residue from smoke can cling to carpets, furniture, walls, and other surfaces where pets live, play, and rest. This exposure can impact their health. Help protect your furry family members by keeping your home smoke-free.

🦟 FIGHT THE BITE — EMPTY STANDING WATER 🦟

With all the recent rain, standing water around your home can quickly become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Help protect yourself, your family, and your community by taking a few simple steps to eliminate standing water.

Be sure to empty water from:
• Tires
• Buckets
• Planters
• Toys
• Pools
• Birdbaths
• Rain gauges
• Flowerpot saucers
• Trash containers

Also, tightly cover water storage containers so mosquitoes cannot get inside to lay eggs.

Small actions can make a big difference in preventing mosquito-borne illnesses and supporting public health.

• Wear hats, sunglasses, and protective clothing when possible
• Seek shade during peak sun hours
