We talked about this last Tuesday night at Modern Self Defense class. People need to be prepared for an Oct. 7th type event, or terrorist cells activating.

F.I.R.E. has been on a mission to prepare people since 2009. We won't stop...Ever.

Get a medical kit in your vehicles, 3-day bag, carry a gun, and be prepared to do what you must in order to get home.

It could be a mass event, or small events happening across the country.

Either way, keep doing what you do. Stay safe, stay prepared.

Tonight I had the great honor of promoting Benson Cessna to black belt in Modern Self Defense! Benson has been training with me for years in fi****ms and martial arts. He embodies all that I believe is important in a martial artist. Benson is proficient with fi****ms, tactics, knives, ground fighting, striking, and empty hand tactics. Beyond that, he is loyal, dedicated and hard working! Well deserved!!

While the Northern lights are beautiful, keep in mind the are a result of a coronal mass ejection (CME). Today's storm is expected to hit Earth around midday, and could cause disruption to radio and cellular communications.

While I personally believe nothing more will happen outside of some pretty lights tonight, have a plan in case there are disruptions.

Very scary situation. Do you know how to defend yourself against this type of attack? The simplest way is to bring your knees to your chest, making the attacker carry your weight, then thrust your feet down which will move your body weight down, and hopefully allow you to break the hold. Nothing is 100%, but at least give yourself a chance. If you want to learn Self Defense, contact us for more information.

If you follow this link, you'll see the stabbing in North Carolina. It's hard to watch, but you should watch it. While we know sometimes you just can't stop it, but damn, we can help if called on. Get some First Aid training, Stop The Bleed training, or just be willing to be with someone in their time of need.
