It has been amazing to welcome FHLB volunteers onsite as they roll up their sleeves and help us make important updates to our facilities. This is truly an incredible partnership, and we are deeply grateful for their investment in our organization, our facilities, and the people we serve.

Sometimes, you don’t have to go outside to get a little of nature’s calming effect. 🌿

Research suggests that simply looking at nature—even indoors—can help reduce stress and support a calmer nervous system. Our brains respond to the soothing sights and sensory cues of nature, whether we’re sitting in a garden or enjoying a vase of fresh flowers on our desk. Even photos or images of nature have the same effect.

So, if you can’t get outside today, bring a little nature in. 💚

Our Celebrity Trivia Night was a huge success, with an amazing turnout of 24 teams battling it out for trivia bragging rights!

The Florence Crittenton garden is loving all of this recent rain! ☔️

During the summer, our residents participate in Gardening Club, where they get to choose what they want to grow, tend to the garden, and enjoy the reward of the harvest.

This year, we've enjoyed plenty of fresh produce in the kitchen, including lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes, summer squash, and snap peas. 🥬🍅🥔

We love when residents find joy by putting their hands in the soil and connecting with nature! 💚

Did you know that Florence Crittenton Services provides mental health care across the lifespan?

While many people know us for serving children and adolescents, our outpatient mental health clinic serves clients from age 4 to 74 —and we're continuing to expand access to care.

We enjoyed connecting with so many community members at the Golden Connections Resource Fair, where we shared an exciting update: we are now accepting Medicare!

We had such a great time at the Topeka Zoo today! 🧘‍♀️🦁 We explored how yoga can help our minds and bodies feel strong, calm, and connected. Thanks to United Way of Kaw Valley and Topeka Zoo for hosting this fun event!
