Pool season is almost here—woohoo!
Please read to the end with important season information:
The pool will officially open to our members on Thursday, May 21st.
Kay will have pool keys available for pickup at the pool on:
Friday, May 15 from 5:15–6:15 PM
Saturday, May 16 from 10:00–11:00 AM
After these times, keys will be available for pickup on Kay’s porch. If this is your first year, please contact Kay and she’ll give you directions.
Text Kay 785-845-9981 please include the name on the membership in your message. Must have a few hours notice for porch pick up.
This year, we’ve transitioned to a key fob system. To enter, simply hold your fob up to the lock—you’ll have 3 seconds to open the gate. The gate will automatically lock behind you. You will need your fob to key out the same way you came in as the door is locked once it closes-- don't lose your fob card!
Gate Hours:
The system locks down automatically at 12:05 AM-- please be timely!
It will reopen at 6:00 AM
If you are still inside the pool area after 12:05 AM, you will be locked in
If you become locked inside, you will need to contact a board member. Phone numbers are posted inside the small blue door on the pool house. A $10 fee will apply per incident.
If you lose your fob card, there is a $10 replacement fee. Please note that fobs are limited and replacements may take several days, so be sure to keep track of yours.
Reminders:
Rules: Please review all pool rules. Hours are: Mon- Fri 6 am to midnight, Sunday, 6am - 9 pm so we can shock the pool. Slide is for children only, and one at a time.
Helpful items - A small first aid kit is in the small blue door on the pool house. There is also a speaker for your use and an inflator for pool toys, and lockers to use as you need on the north side of pool house.
Pool Rental: There are forms to rent the pool for a party and board members numbers also with other helpful information.
Night Lights: Between the big door into the pool house ( for board members only ) and the small door is a silver rectangle timer for the pool lights. Feel free to turn them on after dark.
Lost and Found: There is a plastic deck box with lost and found and pool toys to share. If you get out toys please put them back when finished.
Swim Diapers: These are a MUST if your child is not potty trained. No exceptions, as we do not want to have to close the pool to treat for accidents.
Cameras: These are in place and footage may be reviewed if a complaint is received or if an issue needs to be investigated. These cameras are used to protect our property, not to provide supervision of children. Since adding the cameras, we have had ZERO break ins and cut fences!
Facebook: Please find Lakeshore Swim Club on Facebook and follow us for the most updated information for closures, weather, pictures, and other information throughout the summer.
Lots of improvements are happening throughout this season, some are behind the scenes in the pool house, but one noticeable improvement you will see is the new white strip around the pool, designed to help keep your feet from burning and slips from happening.
Mosquito Joes will be spraying around the pool to help keep the bugs down. They will start on 5/15 and spray every 3 weeks. Gary tries to work with us and spray first, usually 8 - 9 am but weather can change things. We try to keep you updated on Facebook of the date and times. If you see the yellow Mosquito Joes vehicle arrive please exit the pool so he can safely spray. Thank you. He donated his service as a Heights community member - if you need help with bugs in your backyard please consider talking with Gary at Mosquito Joes about how he can help you.
Be safe, be cautious of others, talk with your teens about appropriate language and behaviors when others are nearby. Have fun and enjoy LSC!
As always if you have questions, concerns, or suggestions, reach out to a board member or message us on FB.
Thanks, and have a wonderful pool season!
Lakeshore Pool Board,
Katie, Amber, Kay, Katie, Robert, Mack and Craig
