Registration for our free, full-day Discover Works Summer Program will close on Tuesday, May 19th! This program is open to all current K-8 Toppen*sh students, regardless of academic level. It is not summer school! Instead, it is a fun and engaging opportunity designed to help students stay active, continue building skills, and enjoy exciting summer experiences with their peers.

Students can look forward to...
🫧Participating in fun, hands-on enrichment activities
🚌Taking field trips
➗️📚️Strengthening their reading and math skills
👩🏻‍🔬🎨 Exploring opportunities such as science, cooking, art, community service, and more
🍎Enjoying nutritious meals, and
😋Staying connected with friends in a safe, structured, and engaging environment

The program will take place Monday through Thursday, June 29 through July 30, 2026. Daily program hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with free childcare available for 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the program each day. Transportation and meals will be provided.

Families can register by completing the ParentSquare form sent to them or by filling out a paper registration form and returning it the school or district office. Paper forms are available in school offices and at our district office. Registration will close on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Do you love seeing free books for kids at our district events? Over the past few years, many of those books and family literacy events, including Lucky Diaz Family Night, were made possible through an IAL grant with Educational Service District 105.
That grant ends this September, but we want to keep getting books into the hands of Toppen*sh kids! We are applying to bring this grant directly to Toppen*sh School District, and we need your help.

We need to hear from parents, students, teachers, and librarians. Please take a few minutes to complete this quick survey. Your feedback will help us understand how students and families access books and read at home so we can write the strongest application possible.

May Schedule Reminders📅

There will be no school May 22 and May 25, 2026, in honor of Memorial Day. School offices will also be closed. The district office will remain open on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and will be closed on Monday, May 25th.

OUR TELC HERO
PRESCHOOL FAMILIES,
We are sharing some difficult news about one of our own Mini Wildcats, our student Gabriel, who underwent major Surgery. He is showing true superhero strength, just like Spider-Man, as he fights through a long road to recovery.
As a school community, we would like to come together to support Gabriel and his family during this challenging time. A family member will be traveling to Seattle this weekend and will be taking all funds raised directly to him and his family.
We are raising funds to help with medical bills, lost wages, and additional expenses, including hotel stays, food, gas, and more. If you are able and would like to contribute, we will be organizing a coin drive (bills are also accepted). Donations can be placed in the collection boxes in your child's classroom or in the front office.
We will continue to accept donations throughout his recovery and will gladly share any updates the family provides along the way.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this time.

🎬️Come pack the PAC this Saturday and cheer on our talented Toppen*sh students as they take the stage for The Jungle Book at Toppen*sh High School.

Our students have been working hard all week to memorize their lines, step into their characters, and bring this fun story to life. These Missoula Children’s Theatre productions feature Toppen*sh students of all ages, and we would love to fill the audience with support from our students, staff, families, and community.

Best of all, both performances are completely free to attend!!
