It’s hard to believe that it has been three years already, but my term expires November 5. I am now running for a second term. When I decided to run in 2021, my goal was to be part of a team that restores calm, consistent, thoughtful leadership to the District, starting with finding the right person to serve as Superintendent. I am happy to say that we have achieved that goal! Hiring Superintendent O’Leary was a watershed moment for MSAD #75. I’m proud to have been a part of it.
The tumultuous years of the Covid pandemic put us into a reactive mode of governance. We have been able to turn the tide and are steadily moving towards being a more proactive, forward-thinking body. If elected for a second term, my overarching goal would be to establish a responsible, long term, fiscal plan and a plan to maintain our facilities well into the future.

I’m humbly asking for your vote to allow me to continue the work.

Over the protests of students, the local school board's Finance Committee has endorsed a proposed fiscal year 2025 budget that would eliminate a handful of high school teaching positions while setting aside funds for a strategic plan and other new expenses.

The Maine School Administrative District 75 Board of Directors has chosen its interim superintendent of schools and former director of special education, Harpswell native Heidi O'Leary, to fill the district's top post on a long-term basis.

This is a new step in the budget process, allowing for more explicit public participation earlier in the process. We are really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the 2024-2025 budget as we begin to prepare it!!

Good morning,

I'm not running this year (I have one more year on my term) but I wanted to let everyone know how I plan to vote for the 4 contested Topsham seats.

Mike Timberlake, Mary Hobson, and Kim Pacelli have all done great work as current board members, providing strong leadership and thoughtful approaches to our complicated work and I'm thrilled that they want to continue to serve. River Khoriaty is running for the first time and will be an invaluable addition. I've found their approach to be informed, constructive, and kind. Representation matters.

Thank you all for your support! I'm overwhelmed and humbled by the turnout and the results. It was great to see so many of you in person yesterday at the polls.

Thank you to Jim Burak who stepped up to fill the seat when it became vacant last summer and for running a clean campaign. Contested elections are good for democracy and push us all to clarify our views.

Our first official meeting is November 18, before that the new members will be sworn in and we will receive our meeting information package. I'm ready to get to work and I'd love to hear from you.
