💙 75 YEARS OF NANTAHALA SCHOOL 💙

This year, Nantahala School is proudly celebrating 75 years of educating students, building traditions, and serving the Nantahala community!

To commemorate this incredible milestone, our Nantahala School Shop Class has created a special 75th Anniversary Christmas ornament — made right here at Nantahala by our students. 🎄🦅

And we want our alumni to have one!

These commemorative ornaments will be available FREE OF CHARGE to Nantahala School alumni, with a limit of one ornament per family. At this time we are not selling ornaments to anyone outside of alumni.

Whether you graduated from Nantahala decades ago or just recently, this ornament is a little piece of 75 years of Hawk history — and we hope it finds a place on your Christmas tree for many years to come.

A HUGE thank you to the Nantahala Community Club and Nantahala residents for their incredibly generous donation to our school — a TON (almost literally 😂) of snacks and 100 water bottles!

We are so fortunate to live and work in a community that continually shows up for our students and our school. Whether it’s something big or small, our Nantahala community never hesitates to step in, lend a hand, and make sure our kids have what they need.

These snacks and water bottles will absolutely be put to good use, and we cannot thank everyone who donated enough for your generosity and continued support.

A huge THANK YOU to the Macon County Sheriff’s Department for making the trip to Nantahala School to deliver school supplies to our students! And to make it even more special, the supplies were hand-delivered by Sheriff Holbrooks himself!

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support and generosity shown to our little school. It means so much to know that our students are remembered, supported, and cared for by people throughout Macon County.

Thank you, Sheriff Holbrooks and the Macon County Sheriff’s Department for investing in our kids!

Internet & Phone Update: Nantahala School is still currently without internet and phone service. We will have school tomorrow, Friday, August 28, as scheduled. We will have limited internet and phone access.
