Water Outage Alert

There will be a water outage on Thursday December 18, 2025 from 9 am to 1 pm. The areas affected are Brandt area, town of Brandt, Clear Lake area and Lake Cochrane. We are doing more work at the Clear Lake plant. The outage area will have low pressure or no water during this outage.

WATER OUTAGE ALERT

There will be a water outage tomorrow Tuesday, December 16th starting at 9 am for the Brandt area, town of Brandt, Clear Lake area, Lake Cochrane and areas west and north of SD Hwy 15 and SD Hwy 28. You will have little pressure or no water for most of the day. We are doing a refurbish project at our Clear Lake plant. If you have questions please call the office 605-794-4201.

WATER SYSTEM OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Brookings-Deuel Rural Water System is offering an employment opportunity to a self-motivated individual whose duties will include, water plant operations, pipeline maintenance and repair, excavation equipment operation, GPS equipment operation, customer service and basic computer operations. This role will include alternating standby duty, emergency response and other assigned tasks.

Basic requirements include a high school education, a clean driving record, good communication skills, basic math skills, along with mechanical & electrical aptitude. Preference will be given to applicants who hold Water Certifications and/or a Commercial Driver’s License, however all interested parties are encouraged to apply. Brookings-Deuel Rural Water System is willing to train promising applicants.

Emergency water outage by Clear Lake plant. Outage will be Clear Lake to Brandt to SD HWY 15. Also Lake Cochrane area. Outage possible till mid afternoon in those areas. Thanks
