Did you know that approximately 814,000 L.A. County households struggle with food insecurity?

From LA County Files:
"Countywide, the problem is just as striking. The latest L.A. County report found that 24% of Los Angeles County households—approximately 814,000 households—experienced food insecurity during the previous year. That is essentially 1 out of every 4 households in the county."

It is our mission to serve this community with healthy groceries and essential resources to thrive.

A heartfelt thank you to Vince, owner of and Piccini Italian Takeout ♡, for his faithful support of Community’s Child.

Vince is not only a generous donor, but also a valued member of our Board of Directors. He continually gives back by providing delicious food from both of his restaurants for many of our events.

We are so grateful for his leadership, generosity, and commitment to the children, families, and seniors we serve.

We love our South Bay Senior Community. Community's Child will continue to deliver weekly groceries to home bound seniors, be a hub for seniors to pick up weekly groceries, prepare monthly hygiene packages, and be a resource/advocate for them. Our seniors, many who are United States Veterans are in great need of assistance and we are doing everything we can to assure them that they are not helpless or alone.

Are you in need of Cal-Fresh services? Karen Perez from Los Angeles Regional Food Bank will be coming to Community's Child to sign people up on Sept 22nd from 12:30-2:30.

Items needed: Photo ID, proof of income, ssi number, rent receipt, and receipt of utility bills.
