Strong partnerships make for a safer South Bay.

On Friday, the Torrance Police Department hosted our South Bay Gang Task Force (SBGTF) for a coordinated, regional gang sweep involving 24 officers and sergeants from agencies throughout the South Bay.

The operation resulted in:
• 89 Proactive stops
• 4 Arrests
• 2 Illegal fi****ms recovered
• 19 Field interviews
• 5 Vehicle impounds
• 4 K9 utilizations (narco/fi****ms)
• 1 Parole rollback compliance check

A big thank you to our SBGTF law enforcement partners from Redondo Beach, Gardena, Hermosa Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Hawthorne, Culver City, Manhattan Beach, and El Segundo for working alongside Torrance PD.

We appreciate the teamwork, professionalism, and continued commitment of our South Bay partners to keeping our community safe.
