Honored to be recognized with another award from for our preservation work at Liberty Christian Center International in Hartford. Alongside an incredible project team, it was truly an honor and privilege to help bring such a beautiful historic building back to life. .intl, The Architects, Cirrus Structural Engineering, Capital Region Development Authority, Hartford Preservation Alliance, Speaker Matthew Ritter and his staff.

What’s better than kicking off Preservation Month with back-to-back preservation events? Participating in them.

This week I presented "Sacred Spaces at a Crossroads" for New London Landmarks Annual Meeting, including some of our findings related to the 2024 collapse of the First Congregational Church in New London.

Then our steeple and portico restoration project at Liberty Christian Center church in Hartford received a Merit Award at the Preservation Connecticut 2026 Connecticut Preservation Awards.

Two very different conversations about preservation — one centered on loss and stewardship challenges, the other on repair and continued investment.

Just a glimpse of a few incredible projects on the horizon—rooted in American history.

Work begins soon at the Mark Twain House & Museum, a National Historic Landmark where Twain wrote his most iconic works. Our focus: balcony decking and balustrade restoration, preserving its distinctive character.

We’ll also be restoring the Nathan Hale Homestead, home of America’s first spy. Painting, siding, and window restoration will help protect this important piece of Revolutionary history.

Honored to play a role in preserving these spaces—so they can continue to tell their stories for generations to come.

There’s something incredibly special about preserving the history of New England—but even more meaningful is bringing these beautiful churches back to life, so they can continue to be a place for community, connection, and gathering.

We’re honored to be receiving another Preservation Connecticut award this year for our work on Liberty Christian Center International in Hartord, Connecticut. This project was truly one to remember. Thank you to everyone involved in making this project possible.

The steeple at Trinity Church of Northborough was carefully dismantled after signs of powder post beetle and water damage were found in the lower structure. A slight lean confirmed the need to bring it to ground level for proper restoration.

This is the first phase—restoration is underway before it’s returned to its place above the church.
