Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Agency: Goshen County Sheriff’s Office
Location: Torrington, Wyoming

The Goshen County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate records, assisting staff, and ensuring administrative processes run smoothly.

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Weekends and holidays off

Starting Pay:
$20.46 per hour

Primary Responsibilities:
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
• Process and track payroll information
• Assist with billing and invoicing
• Maintain and organize files and documentation
• Answer phones and assist the public with general inquiries
• Provide clerical support to deputies and office staff
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and other documents
• Manage office supplies and assist with general administrative duties
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information

Qualifications:
• Strong organizational and data entry skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Proficiency with basic computer programs and office software
• Ability to communicate professionally with staff and the public
• Prior administrative or clerical experience preferred

The selected applicant must complete Basic Communications Training through the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy as part of the position requirements and may be required to work as a Control Clerk within the Detention Center as needed.

SCAM ALERT Continues involving Goshen County Sheriff's Office.

Individuals are calling and representing themselves as a Goshen Co Sheriff Employee and requesting pre-paid Visa cards to take care of the outstanding warrant or they will arrest them.
Please do not NOT give them any information about you or your loved ones and Friends. They are calling people in the Cheyenne area today still representing themselves as an employee of the Goshen County Sheriff Office. Feel free to call our office with any questions you may have.

If you would like to donate items for the fire west of Fort Laramie, they can be dropped off at the Lingle Firehall, if you're in the Lingle area. It is located on west 3rd. Street. If you are in the Torrington area and would like to donate items for the fire. The location to drop off items is at the main intersection. It is the old Conoco building across from Oreiley's.

SCAM ALERT targeting S*x Offenders. Place of employment are being called instead of directly calling that person. They are being told to meet at the local Sheriffs with $3517.74 cash bond or they will be arrested for fail to comply. Again, this is a SCAM.
