That’s a wrap on our weekend with Chief Wells. It’s safe to say we’re tired sweaty and a little bloody, but couldn’t be more pleased with the time spent on tool techniques and auto extrication tactics with some of THE BEST in the business.

This weekend the guys went over different tactics such as: The Bat Wing, The B Post Blow Out, The Clamshell, The Dash Lift, The Butterfly Cut, The Reformed Dash Lift, Upside Down Bat Wing and Dash Life, The Air Chair. These tactics are proven to work efficiently and effectively all over the country, no matter the age of the vehicle.

As they say, iron sharpens iron. In a never ending pursuit to bring the community the highest levels of auto extrication we are always glad to see Chief Wells and his Cadre in town. This weekend a handful of TVFD members are going through the 12 Rules of Chop Shop. If you’ve seen the demo derby down at Pioneer Park, this would be why!

TVFD personnel is on scene at the City Landfill sight for a fire contained to the trash bale pit. You may see the column of smoke from town. City Staff is actively working to smother this fire. Resources on scene are: Command, Rural 12, Rural 15 and 5 firefighters.

Well, almost! TVFD responded late last night just after 2300 hours to a dumpster fire located on the south east side of City Park. TVFD responded with Rural 15 and 4 firefighters, 2 of them on foot. 😁 After the fire was put out it was determined that fireworks that had been set off in the park were quickly discarded in the dumpster. No injuries to firefighters were reported, but the dumpster sadly lost its lids! 🎇
