Since its inception in 1999, Vintech has been dedicated to helping volunteer services throughout the state of CT with both staffing and management/administrative needs. We assert that the volunteer-run EMS model is an essential and viable system that excels at providing community-specific prehospital care to rural and suburban communities all over the country. Our mission is to support volunteer a

nd locally run EMS services to continue to provide a high level of dependable response and care. Essential to this mission is recruiting, training, and retaining passionate providers who we then match to the communities we serve.

Vintech is proud to announce that New Milford Community Ambulance is now carrying packed red blood cells (PRBCs) on its ALS unit, giving our crews the ability to administer life-saving blood transfusions before patients ever reach the hospital.

This program is the result of nearly a year of collaboration with Northwell Health – Danbury Hospital and was spearheaded by Paramedic Zach Sawicki, Vintech's Director of Southwest Operations, who presented the initiative at the regional ALS Chiefs Meeting.

New Milford is now one of only two prehospital blood resources serving the Danbury region, ensuring this critical resource is available when every second counts.

CEO Vin Wheeler shared, "Trauma care continues to evolve by bringing blood products directly to critically injured patients, ultimately improving outcomes. I am especially proud of our staff for their commitment to continuing education and becoming certified as Blood Medics."

We're incredibly proud of this accomplishment, our partnership with Northwell Health – Danbury Hospital, and the dedication of our crews. Here's to the lives this program will help save.

From CEO Vin Wheeler to all of the “youngsters” in our community…long live Johnny Gage!

Through his iconic role as Johnny Gage on Emergency!, Randolph Mantooth inspired countless EMTs, paramedics, and firefighters to answer the call to serve. His impact extended far beyond television, and his legacy will continue to live on in generations of first responders.

To our EMTs and Paramedics — thank you for your professionalism, dedication, compassion, and commitment to patient care. Whether it’s a routine call or someone’s worst day, you continue to show up ready to serve your communities with pride and professionalism.

To the volunteers we work alongside every day, thank you for your partnership, teamwork, and support. The relationships built between Vintech staff and volunteers are what make these services so strong, and we are grateful to work beside so many outstanding people.

We also want to recognize the fly-car Paramedics & intercept services, mutual aid agencies, dispatchers, fire departments, police departments, hospital staff, and EMS providers across Connecticut and beyond. EMS is truly a team effort, and we are proud to work together with all of you to provide care to those who need it most.

As EMS week comes to a close, today we’re proud to recognize our longtime partnership with Thomaston Ambulance 🚑

Thomaston is a BLS 911-only service that responds to approximately 1,300 calls each year, providing dependable emergency medical care to the community day and night. This year also marks an incredible milestone as Vintech celebrates 28 years of partnership with Thomaston Ambulance — a relationship built on trust, teamwork, and dedication to patient care.

Pictured are Northwest Operations Director Jack Begley and his partner, EMT Holli Ryan, who are proud to serve the Thomaston community alongside an outstanding group of EMTs and volunteers. Jack is incredibly proud of the strong partnership Vintech shares with Thomaston Ambulance and values the close-knit team that works together every day to provide exceptional care and support to the community.

We are thankful for the continued support and partnership from Thomaston Ambulance and their volunteers, and we look forward to many more years working together.
