Since its inception in 1999, Vintech has been dedicated to helping volunteer services throughout the state of CT with both staffing and management/administrative needs. We assert that the volunteer-run EMS model is an essential and viable system that excels at providing community-specific prehospital care to rural and suburban communities all over the country. Our mission is to support volunteer a

nd locally run EMS services to continue to provide a high level of dependable response and care. Essential to this mission is recruiting, training, and retaining passionate providers who we then match to the communities we serve.

🚑🩷 A very special congratulations to our New Milford crew members Paramedic Steve OBrien and EMT Brianna Maxaner, who helped deliver a beautiful pre-mature baby girl in the back of the ambulance while en route to the hospital last week!

Paramedic Zach Sawicki, the Director of SW Operations who oversees our New Milford site commended the crew for their professionalism, quick thinking, and exceptional patient care during this unforgettable call. Zach proudly presented both Paramedic OBrien and EMT Maxaner with stork pins and certificates in recognition of their outstanding work.

We are incredibly proud of this crew and honored to celebrate this amazing moment with them. Great work by all involved! 👶🪽

Today, we celebrate the women who answer calls both at home and on the road! From mothers working long shifts on the ambulance, to those supporting their families behind the scenes, to the moms who raised the EMT’s and Paramedics serving our communities - THANK YOU for your strength, compassion, and sacrifice.

🎉Great news from our Stony Hill site!🚑

On Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, Vintech EMT’s Ken Bailey & Ashley Galanti were partnered at our Stony Hill site. The crew was dispatched in the early afternoon for an elderly male who showed signs of altered mental status and was unable to stand after exiting his vehicle in a parking lot. 9-1-1 was activated by a concerned bystander who assisted the male to the ground. Upon the crew's arrival, and with the assistance of Stony Hill Fire Chief Doug Evanuska & EMT Jeff Blanch, the crew quickly realized the patient was unresponsive and was suffering from a major stroke.

Quick actions by all responders on scene, including the Bethel-Redding Paramedic who arrived within 5 minutes of EMS initial contact, resulted in a 10 minute on scene time (goal of 15 min for stroke patients) and a last known well time to ED arrival of only 40 minutes! Early activation to their closest stroke center resulted in an “ED door to device time” of 73 minutes (goal of 90 minutes)!

The patient is expected to make a full recovery because of the crew’s quick response (being .5 miles from the station helps!), early recognition & notification, rapid transport, and excellent patient care!

Vintech is incredibly proud to have EMTs Bailey & Galanti as part of our family. Their dedication, readiness, and professionalism exemplify the standard we hold ourselves to every day. 🎉Employee Spotlight🎉

At the end of January, our Thomaston crew—Site Supervisor Courtnee Hall and EMT Jesiah Nieves Diaz—responded alongside the Thomaston Police and Fire Departments to a motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, they were advised that the patient was unresponsive. Through a rapid assessment, they quickly identified that the patient was in cardiac arrest. Working seamlessly with on-scene units, the crew safely removed the patient from the vehicle and immediately began CPR. Their swift actions resulted in the spontaneous return of pulses prior to ALS arrival, and the patient was then transported to the hospital for further care.

Calls like this highlight the importance of strong teamwork and positive working relationships between all emergency services. The residents and responders of Thomaston should be proud of the dedication and professionalism demonstrated on this scene. We would like to congratulate all of the responders on scene, but especially Courtnee and Jesiah for their quick actions, early recognition, teamwork, and overall management of this patient. We are proud to
have employees like them on our roster of dedicated providers!

Courtnee has proudly served Vintech in Thomaston for eight years and has held the position of Site Supervisor since May 2025. Jesiah recently completed his first year with our Thomaston team. Together, they represent our longest-standing partnership, as Vintech celebrates 25 years
of service to Thomaston in 2026.

This milestone reflects the trust, support, and commitment shared between our agencies. We are grateful for this partnership and look forward to many more years of working together in service to our community! 🤝🚑
