At 0454 our department was called to rt 287north for a tractor trailer fire. All lanes were temporarily shut down due to heavy fire and smoke. With thr much appreciated help from NJSP, Montville Volunteer Fire Department, kinnelon tankers, Boonton Fire Department and Boonton twsp tankers we were able to contain it to the shoulder and right lane allowing the troopers to let vehicles pass in the left shoulder. And thanks to camps towing that showed with equipment and manpower to remove all debris.
