We would like to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for the safety training session Officer Hennessy conducted for our team today. Your expertise and dedication were evident throughout the entire session, and we all walked away feeling more knowledgeable and prepared to handle potential safety situations.

K-9 Hades and I are starting to do community outreach activities again. We went to Wyalusing back on June 25th. It was nice to be back out interacting with kids!

This article and picture are from the Rocket Courier newspaper.

The Wyalusing Public Library played host to the Towanda Borough Police Department’s K-9 unit on Friday, June 25 as part of its summer reading program. The visit by Officer John Hennessy and Hades, a three-year-old Belgian Malinois, was held in the Wyalusing Borough Park and drew attention from numerous local children and their parents. During the visit, Hennessy discussed the equipment that he uses during his daily duties as a police officer, what role Hades plays and showed the children the inside of his police vehicle. In addition, Children’s Librarian Sara Troup read a favorite book of Hennessy’s to the children entitled “Officer Buckle and Gloria.”
