Spent a great evening of officer interviews for the Bradford County FFA in selecting our new officers for the year. The county delegates did a great job of interviewing and selecting a slate of officers. A good night spent with fellow advisors, rabbit, eels, and more.Nice visiting Bill Tindall ad well as he joined us as he shares the Mobile Ag Lab with Athens. Looking forward to a good and busy year to come with these representatives of the Bradford County FFA.

Today is the day we have all been waiting for!!

Today at the 106th Pennsylvania Farm Show the Bradford County FFA will have 16 members receive their FFA jackets, and officially start their FFA journeys. Also, 15 members receive their Keystone Degrees to recognize all the hard work they accomplished through their FFA journeys!!

As the count down to the Pennsylvania Farm Show progresses on we would like to congratulate and recognize our Keystone Degree Recipients who will receive their charms at the Farm Show!!

This year from Bradford County we have 15 members who will be receiving their Keystone Degrees, which is the highest Degree the State of Pennsylvania can offer its FFA members for their hard work, and dedication to the organization, but most importantly for their passion to the agricultural industry!

Yesterday, December 18th, was the annual Bradford County Leadership Conference for first year members, also known as Greenhand Day!

Greenhand Day is a fun filled day full of workshops that are geared towards teaching first year members the basic essentials to being an FFA member. The day started off with opening ceremony and an introduction to our Bradford County FFA Officer Team. Then, members broke into rotation groups as the went to workshops on Opportunities in FFA, Etiquette, Public Speaking, and AET! During these workshop members learned about the events the can attend through FFA, how to properly where official dress, proper table etiquette, how to present yourself when public speaking, our FFA Creed, and the ins and outs of working the AET website where FFA members record and keep track of their experiences throughout FFA! Members also had the opportunity to participate in a large group activity with our FFA State Secretary Nina Coolidge and FFA State Sentinel Ravyn Bashore! Afterwards, all members, advisors, and guest present broke for lunch were they heard inspiring words from our keynote speaker Dale Harper! After, lunch members broke into teams to play a large group trivia game with Northeast Bradford Advisor Mr. Pifer, where they got to learn more about the history of the National FFA and the Pennsylvania FFA Organizations. After, trivia members got to watch a reflection video from past Bradford County FFA members who made huge and lasting impressions! Finally, the conference came to end with closing ceremony.

The 2021 Greenhand Day was fun, inspiring, educational and definitely one for the FFA scrapbook!

Happy Thanksgiving from our Blue and Gold Family, to yours!

Today, we have so many things to be thankful for! Our families, our friends, our own everyday personal experiences and adventures! Though for FFA members today they are also thank for the agricultural industry that they are all so passionate about, their Agriculture Education teachers, and FFA Advisors who push them to be the best versions of themselves, and most importantly they are thankful for all the experiences, opportunities, and adventures had, and the memories and friendships that they've made from the very first time they zipped up their blue and gold corduroy jacket till the very last time!

As you look back and reflect on today always remember there is so much to be thankful for!

Now is the time for the last peice of amazingly exciting news that happened last week at National Convention!!! Saturday during the American Degree Ceremony there were 57 recipients from Pennsylvania, and THREE of them were from Bradford County!!!

The first recipient was Paige McCarthy from the Athens FFA Chapter!!

From the Troy FFA Chapter was Roxane Kingsley!!

The final recipient from Bradford County of the Troy FFA Chapter was Hannah Houseknect!!

On behalf of the Bradford County FFA we are incredibly proud of these three ladies for achieving the highest degree that the National FFA Association can offer its members! These ladies have all demonstrated the highest levels of agricultural excellence!! Bradford County wishes these ladies the best of luck in their future endeavors as they continue to spread their passion for the agriculture industry!!
