Helllooooooooo book people!!!!

Summer Reading is starting this Monday, June 1st! If haven't already, be sure to swing by the library to make sure your card is up to date, sign up for our program, and get your first book! You can start counting your time on Monday.
We will be having our first event this Wednesday with Story Time! This is every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 10:30am and is mainly for kiddos 3 and up. We read a book and do an activity or craft.

Hello everyone,

We hate having to write this, but we had unfortunate behavior at the library this morning and had to have kids leave. We understand kids get excited playing games and having fun inside with us. That's why we have the games! And kids are given reminders when they need to settle down or be more quiet. (Board Games can get competitive!)

However, there are things that will not be tolerated. The most important being verbal or physical abuse of staff and facilities, and verbal or physical abuse of other patrons.

Therefore, if someone cannot go without screaming, damaging others' property, cussing, using slurs, or fighting one another, they are not welcome at the library.

The W.A.W. winners were announced!!

Emporia State University Libraries & Archives have announced the 2026 William Allen White (WAW) Book Award winners and October 3 WAW Celebration! Kansas schoolchildren selected Shannon Earle's “The Penguin of Ilha Grande: From Animal Rescue to Extraordinary Friendship,” and Angela Cervantes' “The Cursed Moon" as this year's WAW winning books.
