Our sincerest condolences go out to the family of Mr M. Dale Hatch and to his New Albany Fire Department Family. We hold his memory close to our hearts. Services will be held Friday February 6th from 2 to 4 pm and Saturday February 7th 9am until his final call at 11 am at the Homer Funeral Home in Dushore, PA

𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽

The Bradford County Department of Public Safety is rolling out a new emergency alert platform. We are moving away from the former CodeRED alert system and have partnered with Regroup. This alerting platform allows us to better deliver critical information to our residents and businesses in times of need.

The CodeRED platform has served the County well for close to 8 years, however, with new advances in technology and integrations we believe this new platform will better server our community.

When CodeRED was introduced 8 years ago the majority of the original phone numbers entered into the system were land line phones that no longer exist as many people have switched to mobile phones. These discontinued or disabled numbers bogged down our delivery system so we are starting with a clean slate using the data you enter at signup. The Regroup platform will provide real-time feedback on delivery of alerts and any disabled phone numbers.

Bradford County Fire Training is offering a Basic Fire Police Class in January 2026. This is a 16 hour class and runs over three days:

Monday/Weds. January 5/7 from 6pm-10pm
Saturday January 10 from 8am-4pm

Signup via the link below. There is a $30 fee per person which your fire department should pay for. If you need help paying for the course contact myself (PM me - George Ballenstedt) or Deb Northrop (570) 423-3497 of the county association.

Enrollment is low so far so we need more people to sign up so spread the word around your department. Thank you.

Early reminder. Mark your calendars for our 7:00pm (19:00 hours) December 4 County Fire Police Association meeting at County Public Safety Building. Someone from 911 comms center along with EMA 1 Bryan Farr will be speaking and we get a tour of the comms center.
