State Representative Scott Cupps doesn't think it's his job or duty to make sure all of his constituents are represented. Rep. Cupps has stated this publicly when asked about the plan to redistrict Missouri with a 7-1 map.

Approx. 40% of Missourians vote Democrat, but the Republicans think nearly half their constituency don't deserve a voice. Visit the link in our bio to find your elected representatives in the Missouri Legislature.

Additional text in the foreground contains a quote that reads, "As a state that has a majority that is very, very conservative, it in not our duty to make sure the minority has a voice." - Rep. Scott Cupps MO-R

Mike Brown should be alive today.

He should be here.

His death was a state-sponsored murder.

What tangible action are you taking to prevent this from happening again?

Reminder for tomorrow!!!

Join us for our ~~Networking Night~~ next month! We'll be eating BBQ with elected representatives, candidates, nonprofits, and of course, our beloved members and friends. If you haven't been to one of our meetings before, this will be a great chance to get to know folks!
Accessibility: This venue is wheelchair-accessible, masks will be provided. People will not be wearing masks while eating, of course, but eating outside is an option, and some of our board members will be eating outside so you will not be alone. There are vegetarian options, but there is a risk of cross contamination for food allergies, so please let us know in advance via DM if you need allergen accommodations. It may be a bit noisy indoors with many people talking if you have sensory concerns, but there will not be any loud colors or flashing lights. Please let us know if you need other accommodations.
Image Description: This is a graphic with a light blue background and white all caps text that reads, "STLYD Networking Night." The lower half of the graphic is black, and there is a white text box that reads, "Thursday, August 10 7:00-8:30pm." There is a blue text box below this that reads, "Mom's Soul Food Kitchen 1507 Goodfellow Blvd St. Louis, MO 63112." There is an STLYD logo, a blue fleur de lis in a white circle with a thick darker blue border, in the top left corner. In the top right corner are a couple of decorative overlapping circles of shades of blue, and in the bottom right corner is two organic blue shapes of different shades for decoration

The Chesterfield Township Democrats are hosting parents of trans children, who will be speaking about their families' experiences with Missouri's oppressive anti-trans legislation.

There will be a livestream as well at http://facebook.com/ChesterfieldTownshipDems

Image Description:
This is a facebook post that advertises the Missouri Chesterfield Township Democrats meeting today, Tuesday, July 11 at 7:00pm at the West County EMS & Fire Protection District at 223 Henry Ave, Manchester, MO 63011. It was posted by Maureen Jordan, who writes, "We hope you will join us in this important program. We have invited speakers who are parents of trans children. They will discuss some of the common myths and realities about the recently passed legislation that would ban transgender children from accessing gender-affirming health care and participating in school sports in Missouri. They will also share some of the real-world impacts that this legislation would have on the families of transgender children in our state.
