🚁🤝 Interagency Teamwork in Action 🚑🚒

This morning, the members of the Tower Hill Fire Protection District had the pleasure of working alongside Air Evac #28 and Echo Response EMS during a medical emergency response.

Incidents like these are a great reminder of the importance of strong partnerships and seamless communication between emergency service agencies. From the first arriving responders to ground EMS and air medical crews, every agency plays a critical role in ensuring patients receive the highest level of care as quickly and safely as possible.

We are grateful for the professionalism, dedication, and teamwork displayed by everyone involved. When fire, EMS, and air medical resources work together with a common goal, it helps improve patient outcomes and strengthens the emergency services network that our communities depend on.

Thank you to Air Evac 28 and Echo Response EMS for your commitment to serving our region. We look forward to continuing these partnerships and working together whenever our communities call for help.

🚒 Another month, another great training opportunity! 🚒

A huge thank you to the Illinois Fire Service Institute (IFSI) for providing an outstanding Basic Pump Operations class. Training like this helps strengthen our department’s knowledge, improves hands-on skills, and ensures we are better prepared to serve and protect our community when the call comes in.

We would also like to thank the members of:
• Pana Fire Department
• Shelbyville Fire Department
• Cowden Fire Department
• Herrick Fire Department
• Tower Hill Fire Protection District

for taking the time to participate and train alongside us. Departments working together and learning together builds stronger teamwork, communication, and mutual aid relationships that are critical during emergency situations.

From operating apparatus safely and efficiently to understanding water supply operations and pump functions, this training gives firefighters the confidence and experience needed to perform under pressure.

We appreciate everyone who came out and continues to invest time into becoming better firefighters for our communities. Training never stops — and neither does our commitment to serving others. 🔥🚒

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, dedication, and service will never be forgotten.

This Memorial Day, we ask everyone to take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything.

This week is National EMS Week, so gonna start off by saying thank you to our own! Not every call is life or death, but every call is someone's emergency, and our local EMS personnel are always ready to respond day or night, missed work, meals, and family time. Show your appreciation by patting these guys backs give them a hand shake or a thank you when you see them out and about! Let’s show how much we value their hard work. 🚨💙

Tonight, Tower Hill Fire Department hosted a basic auto extrication class. We want to say thank you to IFSI and our wonderful instructor that was TOP NOTCH for a wonderful evening of training and instruction. We were proud to train alongside nine different departments, including Moweaqua, Macon, Ramsey, Pana, Assumption, Shelbyville, Shelby County Rescue Squad, Peoria, and Tri-County.

Trainings like this give us valuable knowledge and hands-on experience that directly benefit our communities. Auto extrication training helps first responders work safely and efficiently to remove victims from damaged vehicles, provide faster patient care, and improve coordination during emergency scenes. Opportunities like this strengthen teamwork between departments and help ensure we are prepared when our communities need us most.

Also, a HUGE THANK YOU to Coleman Salvage and Shelbyville Wrecker Service for the Donation of vehicles!

We appreciate everyone who attended and helped make the evening a success.

Tornado risk today up to an 8/10 in red. This is the area with the greatest confidence for strong tornado potential after 5p. We still can have some tornado potential with the morning/midday round.

The orange area still remains at a 7, so stay weather aware anywhere in the WCIA area. The incoming round will tell us a lot about how the afternoon potential will evolve.
