Please help us welcome Kasen Gregg as our new 4‑H Assistant!

Kasen grew up in Montana with a deep passion for agriculture and the equine industry. She’s a former Sweet Grass County 4‑H member whose years in indoor and equine projects helped shape her leadership, community spirit, and commitment to public service.

Before joining Broadwater County 4‑H, Kasen served as a Caseworker and Field Representative for Congressman Troy Downing, supporting farmers, ranchers, and rural communities across the state. She brings a strong understanding of the issues facing Montana agriculture and a genuine appreciation for the people who keep it thriving.

Kasen enjoys team roping, riding reining horses, and staying connected to the ag community. She’s also completing her degree in Law and Policy–Pre‑Law, with plans to pursue law school and focus on water and land rights.

We’re thrilled to have her on our team and excited for the energy and experience she brings to our program!

In honor of graduation this week, we are recognizing the winners of the 2026 Broadwater County 4-H Leadership Scholarship. It is awarded to active 4-H members who have exhibited strong leadership skills and successfully completed at least two 4-H projects each year of high school. This year, we had a large group of graduating seniors in 4-H and awarded the highest number of scholarships in a single year with seven winners.

Tanner Bird is a ten-year member of the Toston Blue Ribbon 4-H Club. His 4-H projects have included shotgun, swine, visual arts and archery. Each member in 4-H chooses their own leadership journey and Tanner has chosen to showcase his leadership skills through his 4-H projects. He has participated in the shotgun project for nine years and with his experience he is able to assist younger members with their shooting form and marksmanship. As a longtime member with hogs, he helps younger members with tasks such as vaccinations and worming. On his scholarship application, Tanner shares, “4-H means a place where I was given an opportunity to learn new things, the courage to lead and the friendships to grow.”

Congratulations Tanner! Your future is bright!

Lexi Davies is a four-year member of the Winston Eager Beavers 4-H Club. Her 4-H projects have included swine, cake decorating, visual arts, foods and nutrition, and beef. Being in these leadership roles was a tremendous learning experience for Lexi as she shares on her scholarship application, “Being the president of my 4-H club taught me how necessary it is to be able to lead well and in a way that commands respect while still being a compassionate helper to those in my club.”

Congratulations Lexi! You will go far!
