What a fun way to start the school day! 🚔

Congratulations to the students from Spaulding Memorial School who won the PTO raffle for a ride to school in a police cruiser! SRO Silvestri and Sergeant Phillips had a great time giving the students a tour of the cruiser, letting them check out the equipment, and even turning on the lights and sirens before arriving to school in style.

Thank you to the Spaulding Memorial School PTO for allowing us to be part of such a fun and memorable day for the students. We love opportunities like this to connect with our community and bring some smiles along the way!

Today is a difficult day for the law enforcement community across Massachusetts and beyond.

We mourn the loss of Kevin Trainor, a Massachusetts State Trooper who gave his life in the line of duty while responding to reports of a wrong-way driver. In doing so, he put himself in harm’s way to protect others—an act that speaks directly to the courage and commitment this profession demands every day.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and his brothers and sisters in the Massachusetts State Police, as well as our colleagues in the Boston Police Department who stood alongside them this morning.

Moments like this remind us of the risks that are ever-present in this work and the quiet bravery behind the badge.

Please keep all those affected in your thoughts today.

K9 Ruby and Officer Silvestri recently attended the National Police Bloodhound Association training in Maryland, where over 50 bloodhounds from across the country came together to train and certify.

We’re proud to share that Ruby and Officer Silvestri are now a nationally certified man-trailing team, ready for deployment when needed. This is a significant accomplishment that strengthens our department’s ability to serve and protect the community.

We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our supporters who helped make this opportunity possible. Your generosity directly contributes to the success of this program.

As a reminder, our K9 Unit is funded entirely through donations. Your continued support allows us to maintain, train, and equip teams like Ruby and Officer Silvestri.

Congratulations to this outstanding team!
