Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) provide immediate lifesaving care to critical patients who access the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. EMRs have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS resources to arrive. EMRs also provide assistance to higher-level personnel at the scene of emergencies and during transport. EMRs are a vital part of the comprehensive EMS response. Under medical oversight, EMRs perform basic interventions with minimal equipment.

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) provide out of hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services (EMS) system. EMTs have the basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life threatening emergencies. EMTs function as part of a comprehensive EMS response system, under medical oversight. EMTs perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance. EMTs are a critical link between the scene of an emergency and the health care system.

LTCA are looking for local individuals that are interested in helping their communities.

We offer tuition assistance, so pass the class we fully fund your education for a reasonable commitment to the service.

We offer opportunities to respond to emergency calls as a first responder, work on the ambulance as an EMT, and career opportunities (get on the eligibility list for full time positions as they become available)
