Last night was a wonderful evening in the Township of Washington! We had ideal weather under the stars for the annual summer concert at Memorial Field. By looking at the fantastic turnout, I can confidently say it was a tremendous success.
Super Trans Am returned for an encore performance of its Super ’70s Rock Show, keeping the crowd entertained all evening.

Special thanks to Bethany Community Center for providing guest parking and to Hold My Knots and Uncle Louie G's Italian Ice & Ice Cream Park Ridge NJ for serving delicious food and treats. I also extend my sincere appreciation to Public Affairs Director Sasha Lopez for organizing another outstanding community event; Councilwoman Daisy Velez for joining us; and our DPW employees, Washington Township Police, and members of the Township of Washington Volunteer Ambulance Corps for helping everything run smoothly and keeping everyone safe.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a memorable summer evening!

Fun with Art Program Opens Soon! CALLING ALL ARTISTS! (1ST - 6TH GRADE) Community Pass Registration opens Friday, 9/4/26 and ends Friday, 10/30/26.

This program will be open for Township residents only through Community Pass. Visit here to register: https://www.twpofwashington.us/page/recreation

*If the maximum number of 15 registrants for the program is not met by Friday, 10/02, the program will then be open to non-residents for an additional $25 out-of-town fee. Once the maximum number of 15 registrants is met, a waitlist will be created.

In this step-by-step class you will learn how to draw landscapes, cartoon characters, animals and still life drawings! Young artists will create masterpieces using watercolor, pastel, acrylic paint, marker, and pencil.

Cost of Program: $210 first family participant and $200 each additional family participant
Length of Program: 10 sessions (Thursdays) - 11/05 through Thursday,2/04. (No class Thursday, 11/26, 12/3, 12/24, & 12/31. Makeup date: Thursday, February 11, 2027.
Location: Senior Center in Town Hall, Township of Washington
Time of classes: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

*The Fun with Cartooning Program will be offered in the Spring of 2027 Season

🎨 Calling all young creators ages 8–18!

The Kids Entrepreneur Corner is returning to the Township of Washington’s 2026 Town Day Fall Festival on Saturday, October 3!

Does your child create jewelry, artwork, handmade crafts or something uniquely their own? Now is the time to start planning their booth and get ready to share their creativity with the community!

Each approved participant will receive table space and one chair. All booth ideas will be reviewed by the Festival Committee.
