BALTIMORE COUNTY COUNCIL PASSES AUXILIARY POLICE LOSAP Bill!

Historically the Baltimore County Police Department Auxiliary Team has lagged behind the Length of Service Award Program that Volunteer Firemen receive. After years of research and lobbying by Auxiliary Colonel Peterson he obtained the sponsorship of Councilmen Patoka and Marks for a Bill to raise the monthly retirement benefit to equal that of other volunteer organizations. Colonel Peterson made an informative and awe-inspiring presentation to the council who then passed the Bill May 4th. Members who attain 25 years of service and age 60 qualify for this benefit. Auxiliary members with at least 6 years of service also qualify for an annual $7,000 Maryland Tax credit.
