The Toxey Volunteer Fire Department helped out SCA's football field with some water! They were also able to use that time as a training for department members.

The mayor and council are aware of the issues that have been occurring at the Toxey Walking Park. We are installing cameras to help catch the perpetrators and put an end to the occurrences. We are also installing more lights around the entire walking trail. We want all to feel welcome and to remember there are families with young children that visit our park daily. Everyone deserves to feel safe and protected. That is our goal.

After making multiple attempts to get help from the Choctaw County Sheriff's Department to stop speeding vehicles down side roads in the middle of Toxey, the mayor and council took it into their hands to add speed bumps to stop those vehicles. The safety of our citizens is our top priority! After several months, we have noticed a decrease in the amount of speeding and racing. We also have received requests to add more speed bumps to side roads.
