The Utility Clerk job description consists of performing general duties for the collection of information to begin and discontinue water service, answer customer inquiries, process payments, follow up on delinquent accounts, and process reading data. This position receives and maintains routine records of cash receipts for payment of bills, fees and taxes and requires thorough knowledge of counting money and making change and balancing funds to daily receipts. Must be tactful and courteous with our customers.
The Distribution Operator job description consists of performing manual labor tasks in the maintenance and service of the Tracy City Public Utility. Due to the nature of the work, these tasks may be performed in inclement weather for extended periods of time and or/hazardous locations such as street areas, ditches, high elevations, and confined spaces. Must be able to bend, crawl, and work in trenches. Have the ability to lift tools, equipment, or materials weighing over 100lbs.
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Driver License
Pass a drug test
