Hope may be one of the smaller towns in , but spend an afternoon on the square and you’ll find a community on the move.

I joined local leaders for lunch at WILLow LeaVes of Hope—a restaurant, antique shop, and theater owned by three sisters who have built something special.

School enrollment is up 25%. Neighbors look out for one another. And Hope continues to grow while holding on to the character that makes it unique.

Great afternoon touring Franklin with Mayor Steve Barnett—there’s no better guide.

We visited a culvert replacement project that my office helped secure funding to support. It’s not headline grabbing stuff — but it’s the kind of essential infrastructure work that keeps a growing city moving.

We also drove by Malarkey Roofing Products new facility and discussed the investment and jobs helping fuel Franklin’s future.

Grateful to represent this fast-growing community in Congress.

The Franklin Rotary Club has been serving Johnson County since 1919.

I joined Rotarians to update on the work we’re doing in Washington and hear what’s on their minds here at home.

Their motto, “Service Above Self,” is more than a line. From supporting students to backing local projects, Franklin Rotary keeps putting it into practice.

Good to spend time with people who care deeply about Johnson County.

Summer is wrapping up, and we’re saying thank you this week to a great group of college interns who shared the past few months serving Hoosiers in our Greenwood district office.

They brought energy, curiosity, and a strong work ethic to the job. And they got a firsthand look at public service - close to home.

Best of luck to all of them in their school year ahead. I look forward to watching what comes next for this talented bunch!

Another opportunity to lean in and learn from one of our district’s many talented manufacturers. I met with the skilled Hoosiers who manufacture HVAC equipment used across the country.

More than five decades in one community is a track record that says a lot. It’s one worth celebrating.
