Runaway Juvenile , last seen around 10 PM on 8/28/26. Wearing black t shirt , black pants , black shoes and black jacket around his waist. Approximately 5’ft 5 inches and 180 lbs. 🚔 TRPD is joining law enforcement agencies across South Carolina to help keep our roads safe this Labor Day season.

From August 19–September 7, the Travelers Rest Police Department is participating in the Labor Day Sober or Slammer / Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign, an effort focused on preventing impaired driving and reminding everyone that getting behind the wheel impaired is never worth the risk.

TR Police Department will also join agencies across the state for MADD’s Saturation Saturday on August 29, a nationwide night of increased, highly visible traffic enforcement aimed at saving lives and keeping impaired drivers off the road.

As we head into Labor Day weekend, please make a plan before you celebrate:
🚗 Designate a sober driver
📱 Use a rideshare or call someone you trust
🔑 Never let a friend drive impaired
🚔 Remember: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

Travelers Rest Police Department partnered with "Hands Across the Border” a multi‑state law enforcement initiative that brings together state and local agencies along state lines to conduct coordinated sobriety checkpoints, speed enforcement, and other traffic safety measures. It is part of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign!

🚸 Main Street Crosswalk Relocation Underway

The City has begun work to relocate the Main Street crosswalk currently located near the Gazebo to a new location near the Pinestone walkway.

As part of the project, lighted pedestrian signals will be installed on both sides of Main Street, providing an additional visual alert to motorists when pedestrians are crossing.

The new location will provide a more visible, clearly defined crossing point and better connect pedestrians traveling between downtown destinations.

🚗 Please use extra caution when traveling through the area while work is underway.
