🏅 Trojan Athlete of the Week – Tripp Gle 🏅

Congratulations to Tripp Gle on an absolutely dominant 2026 track and field season!

Tripp went undefeated in the 70m, 100m, and 200m dash, winning every race he entered and establishing himself as one of Michigan's top middle school sprinters.

Tripp closed out his season at MEGASTAR 2026, one of Michigan's largest middle school track and field competitions featuring 191 teams, by sweeping all three sprint titles:

🏆 200m Champion – 23.48

His performance helped lead the Traverse City East Trojans to the MEGASTAR Large Division Team Championship and highlighted the hard work, dedication, and excellence that define Trojan Athletics.

The Traverse City East Trojans delivered an outstanding performance at MEGASTAR 2026, competing against 191 middle school teams from across Michigan and capturing both Large Division team championships.

EMS Trojan and WMS Titan 6th grade science teachers Mrs. Garrett and Miss Harma had their students and families tag team a Beach Clean Up event at Clinch Park on Sunday. There was a great turn out, especially from our TCAPS families bringing 55 volunteers, and together they collected over 2,000 pieces of plastic/garbage and 43.2 pounds of overall plastic waste. Congratulations to eighth grader Traverse O’Hearn! Traverse has had an outstanding track and field season! 👟🔥

Traverse recently claimed two major titles on the track, winning the Big North Conference Championship in the 3,200 meters with a time of 10:39.35 and the MHSAA Regional Championship in the boys’ 1,600 meters with a time of 4:56.76.

Not only does Traverse excel in competition, but he is also an exemplary student-athlete, maintaining a 3.22 GPA in the classroom.

Today our 8th grade science students had the opportunity to welcome staff from Munson into our classrooms to learn about stress management and mental wellness. Students explored how to identify signs of stress, strategies to manage and decrease stress, and the impact stress can have on overall health.

Thank you to Munson for sharing valuable information and practical tools to help support our students both inside and outside the classroom!
