FULL-TIME ROAD MASTER

The Borough of Tremont is now accepting applications for a full - time Road Master

Duties include, but not limited to, supervising the day to day operations and employees of the Streets Department, physically performing and/or assisting in work projects, calculating & ordering materials, attending Council Meetings, maintaining Borough property, trimming & mowing of parks, playgrounds and other grounds, snow removal, street maintenance and repair, equipment maintenance and other general building maintenance.
Applicant must have the availability to respond to emergency situations at any hour, be at least 18 years of age and have a valid PA driver's license.

Wage based upon experience and qualifications.

Update as of 3:30 pm Thursday, January 29th:

All Snow Emergency Routes have been cleared. Parking restrictions have been fully lifted on: Main St., Spring St., Clay St., Laurel St., Line St., and North St. Residents are permitted to park their vehicles back on these streets.

The Streets Department will be clearing Union St. on Monday and will continue removing snow piles from various streets and intersections over the next couple of days.

UPDATE As of 1:15 pm on Wednesday, January 28th:
Due to equipment issues, snow removal operations had to cease for the day.

The crew will be back in at 7 AM.Thursday morning to continue removing snow on Laurel St. and Line St.

Residents are permitted to park on Laurel and Line Street until 6:30 Thursday morning.

We will continue with updates tomorrow throughout the day as the streets are cleared and parking restrictions are lifted.

UPDATE as of 5:45 pm on Tuesday, Jan 27th:

The Snow Removal Crew did not get all of the streets cleared today, so the Mayor has extended the Declaration until 7:00 p m on Wednesday , January 28th, for parking purposes only.

Parking restrictions have been fully lifted on the following streets: Main St., Spring St., and Clay St.. these streets are cleared and residents are permitted to park on them again.

Residents are permitted to park on Laurel St., Line St., and North St. from 7 PM tonight until 6:00 Wednesday morning. Snow removal is scheduled to start at 6:30 tomorrow morning on Laurel, Line and North St. All vehicles must be moved by 6:00 am or they will be towed.

Please remember to be patient with our Snow Removal Crew , they are still working long hours with limited sleep and only grabbing snacks here and there. They are doing the best they can to get the streets cleared.

Updates will be posted as the streets are cleared and parking restrictions are lifted.

--ATTENTION TREMONT BOROUGH RESIDENTS--

Mayor Moeller has Extended the Declaration of Disaster Emergency in Tremont Borough until
7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 27th.

Snow Removal will continue tomorrow on Main St., Laurel St., Line St., & North St. Parking is still prohibited on those streets. Any vehicle parked on those streets will be towed!

Snow Removal is now complete on Clay St. and they are almost finished with Spring St.
Residents are now allowed to park on Clay St. Residents will be allowed to park on Spring St., AFTER the snow removal is complete and all of the trucks & loaders are gone. No one should be parked on Spring while they are still working.

Please be patient with our snow removal crew. They have been working longs hours, with limited sleep.

We will be posting parking updates throughout the day tomorrow as the roads are cleared.

TREMONT BOROUGH RESIDENTS,
PLEASE CHECK YOUR CAMERAS...
We have been informed that there were some issues with PennDot plowing snow onto sidewalks and porches last night. We need camera footage of this in order to validate our complaints to PennDot. If you have clear footage of the PennDot trucks doing this, we ask you to please send it to Tremont Borough via FB Messenger. If you can't send it on Messenger just let us know and we will figure out another way for you to get it to us. Thank you!

Tremont Borough - - Please spread the word- -
THE TOW TRUCKS ARE COMING!

At 8:00 on Sunday morning, any vehicle still parked on Clay St., North St., Spring St., East Laurel St., West Laurel St., East Line St. to Union St., West Main St., and on East Main St. from the railroad tracks to the intersection at Union St.
WILL BE TOWED at the owner's expense!!

A Declaration of Disaster Emergency is in effect in Tremont Borough from 5:00 pm on Saturday, January 24th until 8:00 pm on Monday, January 26, 2026.

To the Residents who already moved their vehicles: THANK YOU! We appreciate your cooperation!

Tremont Borough PA Alert:
In the event of a power outage in the Borough during the upcoming snowstorm, the Tremont Fire Company at 21 Middlecreek Road will be open as a warming station. The telephone number at the station is 570-695-3915. The backup warming station, if needed, will be the Tremont Area Ambulance Building at 49 North Street. The telephone number at the Ambulance building is 570-695-2500. Stay safe!

--ATTENTION TREMONT BOROUGH RESIDENTS--

Mayor Moeller has declared a Declaration of Disaster Emergency in Tremont Borough from
5:00 pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026 until
8:00 pm on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Parking of motor vehicles is prohibited along all snow emergency routes during this time. Residents MUST move their vehicles. Any vehicle parked along these routes during the Declaration period will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Snow Emergency Routes include:
Clay St.
North St.
Spring St.
East Laurel St.
West Laurel St.
East Line St. to Union St.
East Main St. to Union St.
West Main St.

We also ask for your help with making sure hydrants are clear of snow and ice and to assist the elderly by helping them clear their sidewalks.
