Yesterday, B-Shift participated in a joint agency training with Tremonton Garland Police Department alongside our partners at AirLife Utah. The training focused on landing zone operations and reinforced key safety considerations surrounding helicopter operations and medical crew coordination.

These collaborative training opportunities help strengthen interagency teamwork and ensure we continue providing safe and effective service to our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this training a success.

As National Police Week 2026 arrives, the members of Garland Fire Department and Tremonton Fire Department find ourselves reflecting with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for two men who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our communities.

On August 17th, 2025, Sergeant Lee Sorensen and Officer Eric Estrada were tragically killed in the line of duty. Their loss forever changed our departments, our cities, and the lives of so many who knew and loved them. They were more than police officers — they were husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, friends, coworkers, and trusted protectors who answered the call to serve every single day with courage, honor, and selflessness.

During National Police Week, our nation comes together to remember the fallen and honor those who continue to wear the badge. This year holds an especially personal meaning for our communities as we remember Sergeant Sorensen and Officer Estrada and the legacy they leave behind.

To honor their sacrifice, one member representing Garland Fire Department and Tremonton Fire Department will travel to Washington, D.C. to stand alongside our brothers and sisters of the Tremonton Garland Police Department during the National Police Week memorial events. It is a tremendous honor to represent our departments and our communities while paying tribute to these heroes among thousands of law enforcement officers and first responders from across the country.

The bond between fire service and law enforcement runs deep. We train together, respond together, stand together in difficult moments, and support one another like family. When one department hurts, we all hurt. The sacrifice made by Sergeant Sorensen and Officer Estrada is one that will never be forgotten by the firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, officers, and citizens who had the privilege of serving beside them.

Throughout this week of remembrance, we ask our community to join us in honoring their memory. Please keep their families, the members of Tremonton-Garland Police Department, and all first responders in your thoughts and prayers.

Their watch may have ended, but their impact on our communities will live on forever.

Never Forgotten. Always Honored.

Crews responded today to a reported motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 1000 West and Main Street in Tremonton. Initial reports indicated that one individual was trapped inside a vehicle.

Upon arrival, firefighters were able to safely free the trapped occupant. A total of three patients were evaluated on scene and, fortunately, all were released without the need for transport. We’re also grateful to report that all occupants were wearing their seatbelts.

Thank you to Weber Area Dispatch 911 & Emergency Services District and Tremonton Garland Police Department for their assistance and coordination on this incident.

Shortly before 4 PM, Tremonton Fire responded to a rollover crash on northbound I-15 near mile marker 376 by Elwood. Multiple 911 calls reported a vehicle had rolled, with one person ejected and several patients involved.

Engine 231 and Ambulance 231 responded alongside an ambulance from Brigham City Fire. Crews arrived to find a heavily damaged vehicle. The driver, who had been ejected, was being assisted by bystanders until paramedics took over care.

A medical helicopter met crews at a local helipad and transported the patient to a trauma center.

We appreciate the assistance of Utah Highway Patrol, Tremonton Garland Police Department, Box Elder County Sheriff's Office, Box Elder Communications-BECC, and Brigham City Fire.

Today we had a great time visiting McKinley Elementary School for Career Day!

Our crew loved spending time with the students, sharing what it’s like to serve as firefighters, and talking about the importance of fire safety. The students asked awesome questions, checked out our gear, and even got an up-close look at some of our apparatus.

Moments like these are why we love being part of this community—connecting with the next generation and maybe even inspiring a few future firefighters along the way.

Thank you, McKinley Elementary, for having us out. We had a blast!
