Denyse Cota-Robles (Class of 2027) recently had the honor of participating in the Governor’s Page Program, where she gained valuable hands-on experience and learned more about state government. During the program, she had the opportunity to meet both our Jones County representative and the Governor of North Carolina.

Her parents were incredibly proud to see her confidence and knowledge grow through this experience. Denyse shared that she was proud to represent Jones Senior High School and grateful for the opportunity to learn from state leaders. We are extremely proud of her ambition, accomplishments, and the young leader she is becoming, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for her.

The Class of 2026 Commencement Exercises will be held tomorrow, Saturday, June 6 at 10:00 am in the Harry Brown Gym. Doors will open for seating at 9:00 am and will close temporarily at 9:55 am. Attendees arriving AFTER 9:55 will be let inside the gym AFTER the Class of 2026 Processional. As a reminder, ALL attendees including small children will need a ticket for entry.

Also, do not bring balloons, signs, or large gifts to the ceremony. You will be asked to return those items to the car as they will not be allowed inside the gym.

We are so proud of Denyse!!

It was a pleasure to welcome Denyse Cota-Robles from Jones Senior High School to Raleigh during her service as a Governor’s Page. The Governor’s Page Program provides students with a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand experience in state government and learn more about public service.

Eagle Scout Project Spotlight

Joshua Criner of BSA Troop 87 completed his Eagle Scout project by building two picnic tables for Jones Senior High School. This project will provide students, staff, and visitors with a place to gather, sit, and enjoy the outdoor space on campus.

Joshua would like to thank Pamie Reese and the volunteers from the JSHS staff for their help and support in completing this project. Their time and encouragement helped make this Eagle Scout project a success.

After 30 years in education, Mrs . Pamela Parker is retiring!!! For the past 16 years, Mrs. Parker has been a valued member of the Jones Senior High School family. We are incredibly thankful for her years of service, commitment, and the lasting legacy she leaves behind at Jones Senior. Congratulations on your retirement, Mrs. Parker! You will be missed!!! We wish you nothing but happiness, relaxation, and endless joy as you begin this exciting new chapter of life.
