Our thoughts and prayers are with Sherry Jo & the family during this difficult time! Mr. Kenny was a frequent flyer here in Juvenile Court and will be greatly missed!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our own, Deputy Kenny Smith. Our hearts are truly broken as we grieve the loss of a great friend, colleague, and dedicated public servant.

Deputy Kenny faithfully served the citizens of Gibson County for many years. He also served the City of Humboldt with the same commitment, integrity, and compassion. He was a true servant to his community, and his impact will be felt for many years to come.

Gibson County has lost a great man, and we are all better for having known and worked beside him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in knowing how deeply he was respected and loved.

Juvenile Court will be closed on Monday! Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 2nd, at 8 A.M.

Gibson County Juvenile Court mourns the loss of our long-time Youth Services Officer, Betty Turner, who passed away this morning (July 28) after a short and unexpected illness. For approximately 40 years, Betty served the court working with four different judges, several co-workers, Probation Officers, DCS, Law Enforcement, and thousands of children. Betty never sought recognition, working quietly behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly. Her calm demeanor and deep faith made each of us, here at Juvenile, a better person. We are thankful for the opportunity to have known her. Please pray for her son, Wyatt, and the rest of the family, as they navigate through the difficult days ahead.
