📊 FY 2027 Budget Process Continues

Dade County's FY 2027 budget process is moving into its next phase following presentation of the first draft budget to the Board of Commissioners on June 4.

The proposed budget remains a working draft and will continue to be reviewed before final consideration later this month. Residents are encouraged to learn more about the budget process, review available financial information, and participate in the upcoming Public Hearing to Consider Adoption of the FY 2027 Budget on June 18.

Dade County voters can cast their ballots during Advance Voting beginning Monday, June 8.

On Election Day, all polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must cast their ballot at the precinct where they are registered. (The only residents who may vote at the Dade County Administration Building on Election Day are those registered in the Trenton Precinct.)

Property assessment notices were mailed TODAY (6/3/2026). Property owners who wish to appeal their assessment must do so by Monday, July 20, 2026.

Thank you, Dade County and thank you Northwest Georgia Regional Commission!

Our Joint Comprehensive Plan Visioning Session was a great success, with 38 community members attending to share ideas, priorities and perspectives on the future of our county.

According to the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission, average attendance for similar visioning sessions is typically around 15 participants, making Dade County's turnout especially strong. We appreciate everyone who took the time to participate and contribute to the discussion.

During the session, attendees worked together to complete a SWOT Analysis, identifying Dade County's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The information gathered will be compiled by the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission and presented at our next Joint Comprehensive Plan meeting for further discussion and review.
