“Today’s announcement marks an important step to strengthen the state’s commitment to supporting diverse businesses,” said Hester Agudosi, Chief Diversity Officer. “Waiving the fee associated with minority, women and veteran owned business certification removes a monetary barrier to accessing the State’s supply chain that is real for many minority, women, LGBTQ, and veteran business owners. As a NJ certified MWBE, both public and private sector organizations and firms have access to your profile for considering solicitations for prime and sub-contract opportunities.”

During National Small Business Week, Treasury Announces $100 certification fee for small, minority, women & veteran-owned businesses will be waived indefinitely. For more info: https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/news/2021/05052021.shtml

“This is a critical time as the COVID-19 crisis has laid bare the structural disparities that have persisted in this country and state with the greatest impact on Black and Latinx communities,” said Chief Diversity Officer Hester Agudosi. “I’m honored to work on this latest effort to advance equity in the State’s procurement process. Entrepreneurship is an essential driver of societal health and wealth, and a formidable engine of economic growth. The findings and recommendations brought forth from the study will enable the state to address any disparities that may exist in public contracting and level the playing field for diverse business owners and entrepreneurs.”

ETHICS of -JERSEY DOJ and AOG
Well, there sure make self look good, for small business. Perhaps maybe because I am white or perhaps I don’t know any better. But if you are like me? You have a problem or perhaps; if you can list your business on some dead person,
well, that may work otherwise? You are screwed.
Large Corporation issue your purchase order with state tax exempted/reference Number; we are exempted from State user/sales tax. You accept the job invest the money in material, do the work and get paid accordingly. Well state decide to audit you, and guess what State audit first find that she can not locate them on a state computer database, Second the State employee does not want to see purchase orders from your customer, all she wants is? To see resale's certificate which your Customer does not issue because according to them they are tax-exempt and or, are paying state directly. State or audit says sorry there not sales tax exempt. So guess what Audit say you are paying their assessed tax, no we are not going after them you will pay their tax or warrant will be issued for your arrest.
Welcome to Jersey the United State of America Equality justice, or is it N.J. Justice
These lazy people do not want to do anything but sit on their lazy ass and fine you to collect their bonuses or rewards,
Take my advice if you work for yourself keep all receipt in the shopping bag and presented to the Shysters from Treasury or lazy SOB when they come for the audit.
Not only that tax was collected illegally but also $5,000.oo was removed from my account.
Cascade Environment Co Inc.
I find NJ treasury to owe me $250,000.
In punitive Damaged Negotiation does not apply.
