The Marching Band wrapped up 3 days of “Spring Training” rehearsals this afternoon. Veteran members welcomed new members and helped teach them marching fundamentals and music for the THS Fight Song. All members had the opportunity to read through music for the first two movements of our Fall show “Ballad of a New Frontier.” Onward!

With great regret, due to weather conditions we have decided to cancel our participation (both THS and AMS) in today’s Memorial Day Parade. Mr. Cook will remain at THS for any student who needs to drop off equipment or wait for a ride.

THS Bands performed at the annual Spring Concert Wednesday night. It was an evening full of exciting and inspired music-making! We also celebrated the Class of 2026 and AMS band director Peter Kopera, who is retiring after a long and storied career of teaching excellent young musicians. Congratulations to all, and Onward! (to summer break 😉)

It's been a great week for THS musicians! Last Saturday many students participated in MSBOA State Solo & Ensemble. Our students represented Trenton well, earning "Excellent" and "Superior" ratings. Congratulations to Sophia Graham, Annie Kowalski, Zoe Mincher, Karter & Kolton Adams, Spencer Cebina, Lilly Musser, Ella Ott, AJ Stringa, and Logan Eltz on your outstanding performances!

On Tuesday the Jazz Band travelled to Bloomfield Hills HS to participate in the MSBOA State Jazz Festival. The Jazz Band received "Superior" ratings from all judges, and had their best performance of the year so far!

Congratulations THS musicians. Onward!

It was another great day at MSBOA Festival for Trenton Bands! The Symphonic Band had an inspired performance and received Superior ratings from all judges. Additionally, Mr. Kopera and the Arthurs MS 8th grade band received an overall Superior rating for their performance today! Congratulations to all of our performers!

The Concert Band travelled to Woodhaven HS to participate in the MSBOA Band & Orchestra Festival. Our young THS musicians had a good performance and scored II’s (Excellent) across the board!

What a season! The THSMB marched ever Onward and achieved some amazing milestones. None of this would be possible, however, without our incredible support system. THANK YOU, parents and friends of the THSMB for your faithful service during the 2025 marching season! Whether you helped feed the band, build and maintain props, move equipment, fundraise, manage uniforms, or made sure your student arrived to practice on time, your support makes all of this possible. Thank you for a great 2025 season. Onward!
