It's time for a new staff spotlight here in Family Advocacy; help us welcome our newest member!!

1. What is your role in the Family Advocacy Program?
I am a Program Assistant. I provide administrative support for our staff and clients.

2. How long have you worked for the program and has all that time been here at JB MDL or other bases?
I have worked in the Family Advocacy Program at JB MDL since December 2022.

3. What did you do before you came here?
Before becoming part of the FAP team, I worked at the Information Desk for the Warrior Clinic as a Medical Office Clerk.

4. What is the best part about your job?
The best part of my job is having the opportunity to provide resources to families in need of assistance in order to prevent potential domestic abuse or maltreatment incidents. I also enjoy pranking my coworkers.

5. What is the most challenging thing about your job?
Being fairly new to the department, the most challenging part of my job is learning all the different aspects of the Family Advocacy Program and ensuring I don’t miss any pertinent details in order to perform my duties efficiently.

6. What do you do to practice self-care?
In order to practice self-care, I’m making a huge, HUGE effort to eat healthier and exercise. I want to be able to stay healthy and live a long life so that I can enjoy and keep up with my kids and watch them grow. During my down time, I like listening to music; it’s my therapy.

7. Do you have a favorite quote and what is it?
My favorite “quote” is the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you would want them to treat you.

8. Best vacation you’ve been on?
I would say going on vacation to Puerto Rico is always a great experience. I love the beaches, the festivals, visiting tourist attractions, bar hopping and most of all, the FOOD!!!!

9. What would you do if you weren’t doing this?
I probably would be working as a certified Microsoft trainer or an elementary school teacher.

10. If you were to write a book about yourself, what would the title be?
Monologues of an Introvert
